What happens if the host is late?
Sometimes, life happens and hosts (who are all volunteers) end up not making it on time. To keep the session humming along, we wait three minutes for the host and then offer the hosting privileges to another qualified host in attendance. This is so everyone can have a leader to check in and out with and get started without delay because we respect everyone's time. Having a host present along with the ritual of checking in and out serve as important "cues" to create the feeling of soft accountability that make Flow Club so effective for all of us.
If the original host shows up after someone has taken over hosting duties, that host can simply participate as a regular participant. Hosting control cannot be transferred back to the original host.
